hi all, so i got a call today that the watch was here ... mixed feelings really, as i still didn't know if i really wanted it ... anyway, picked it up and it was, of course, double sealed ... had to pass a dealer i sometimes get stuff from and he offered ...

To be honest its growing on me in likeness. , its a beauty. I believe its also got the 240 selfwinding movement which a joy on the wrist does not have a very high vph but just right. Congratulations. Cheers Geross

I got my 5235 last year in March, a little bit earlier I should get it, because the person who was in front of the list doesn´t want it at that time. This watch is so great and I thought, I would not buy any other watch for the next time. On October 14th ... 

in less than 2 weeks .... sucks for a company like patek to ship garbage like this ... all the blue is literally flaking off the strap ... its just rubbish !! ...  

if you don´t mind. First: Yes, it looks seriously bad on the pictures shown. Questions: Who placed the order from whom? Did you get it from Patek Philippe directly or was an AD or another party involved? Oliver

have another piece from same AD - no issues ... i have several pateks and not one has a strap that shows anything close to this level of wear even after years ... not sure it is the dye that is reacting with the leather will take it to the service centre ... 

because I heard some unfortunate stories with (specific ones, not in general) ADs involved before. I won´t go in too much detail here, because it won´t be helpfull for you anyway. I would not accept a strap like this from my AD and I would expect them to ... 

make the strap and there was really no way to know of the problem until it was worn. From your pictures, the edges appear to be the problem cracking and peeling. I have experienced this a couple of times in the past and has to do with the dressing used on... 

.....with any manufacturer, there will sometimes be issues and problems. What separates the good from the bad is how those problems are addressed.

good news is that they will replace it Bad news is that it will take 2 months.. Oddly enough, they didn't look surprised so I guess it's an ongoing issue ...

For a brand new watch??? Surely they can get a new strapped shipped to anywhere in the world from Switzerland within a few days.

that is just too long. you can order a strap in the USA and ship it within 5 to 7 days.
