If you look at the back-side of the rotor in this 5180, with a skeletonized 240, you can see that the rotor is solid, though engraved to match the watch here A...  

You cannot tell if a object is solid by looking at it. However, Patek in its literature repeatedly states all of its rotors are solid gold no matter what their shape. The smaller rotor would have to be solid, in any event, to have the necessary weight to ... 

in order to get the maximum weight to the small piece. Best, Kari

That thrashy piece of Mall Choclate would never ever go in a PP Rotor !!!!! Never. Tag Heuer Rotors .. maybe... PP. NO Sir.. Only the best handcrafted choclate from the finest choclatiers would go into the PP rotor. That is the ONLY way they could put the...
