You cannot tell if a object is solid by looking at it. However, Patek in its literature repeatedly states all of its rotors are solid gold no matter what their shape. The smaller rotor would have to be solid, in any event, to have the necessary weight to function properly with enough torque.

That thrashy piece of Mall Choclate would never ever go in a PP Rotor !!!!! Never. Tag Heuer Rotors .. maybe... PP. NO Sir.. Only the best handcrafted choclate from the finest choclatiers would go into the PP rotor. That is the ONLY way they could put the Geneva seal or the PP seal on it.

I just lost my head for a moment...Teuscher, perhaps?  Clearly, I need some exposure to truly fine Swiss chocolate!
