Congrats for making that move - I personally find it very hard to revise earlier taken non-shopping decisions when it shows afterwards that they were the wrong ones ;-)

PS: Here it is on my wrist as I had a chance to see it again a few months ago, courtesy of....Patek! (NOT for sale, however, not even for me! ;-)) ...  

You couldn't have put it better; life is too short, peace of mind and content are priceless. That is what money for (within reason of course). Rarity aside, this is a really nice piece. I would be happy to have this as my only watch.

I was also offered this at retail and passed. I have also regretted it ever since. You have my upmost respect for making the jump now. A jump too far for me but I am with you about you only live once and it’s only money. Enjoy this special new addition to...

I don't really give a FLIP if my watches go up or down. If people are so worries about about the financial ramifications of watches going up or down, they shouldn't be buying them in the first place. Much better investments in plain sight everywhere 🙉🙊🙈 ... 

And the financial burden of this purchase isn’t an issue then it was a no brainer purchase if you love the watch. I’ve never been in this enviable position and my watches have formed part of my financial plan albeit only ever bought watches I love wearing... 

and less about the monetary gain as it appears to be in recent years 🤦‍♂️

I remember it sitting on display and not generating the buzz it deserved at launch, and kicking myself for not getting it at the time.. Hindsight is a beautiful thing;-)

There are new year's resolutions and then there is this "Terminator" kind of resolution ! Good to hear the "backstory" to how this piece entered your collection. Trust that the Terminator will not "terminate" the expansion of your collection.

At least the money went to a good cause as it is being used for family matters which was a big factor in why I took it as well 😉
