how to set the leap year as there is no indicator at all, compounded by the fact that one is even unsure which year the watch is in after a lapse of time. It will be a hassle having the watch sent back to Patek for resetting and not everyone is having the luxury of living near a Patek Salon or boutique. Though 3448 is without a doubt beautiful, 3450 is more practical between the two. I fully agree that 3940 is beautiful in its own right but again it lacks a second hand. Overall, 5050 is the winner here as those foreseeable issues do not exist at all and one is almost assured of its accuracy at all times.

I really love retro looking watch in Yellow Gold case, especially when they have a silvery dial, Being wearing this everyday with my casual attire. Very elegant, especially after I change the strap to a glossy black with think and flat padding ...
I have some issue..

I have issue with my neck. I kept looking downward on my wrist just to look at the dial. I really mean it and it does get annoying sometime. But I have no technical issue with the watch. Only the 1993-1995 5050 have some issues with the retrograde date bu...

get tired of looking at the clean and elegant dial, the combination of precious metal (yellow or rose) and the silvery dial bring out its different dimensions, unlike the 5059. Unassuming, even a non-Patek wearer will attest to its beauty and classic look...

I don’t want to be naughty but I have a solution to your problem : get the Wonder Watch but do also keep or get some other equally nice toys, and you will switch from one to the other with pleasure 🤣🤣. As for the leap year there is nothing on earth easier...

I do plan to get the 3448 or 3450 one day So, how does one set the leap year for the 3448 when there is no indicator? If I stop wearing for a period of time, how will I know if I'm on the right year? Thanks.
Very easy actually...

I go to the PP Salon and they adjust it for me. Then I either wear it or put it on a winder in the safe. The batteries are strong enough for going one year and it case it would stop (which never happened yet because I change the batteries every 6 months) ...
Oh... not that easy then.

So, for 3448 , I can't set the leap time myself an have to be set by Patek Salon? And which Patek Salon will that be? Only the Geneva one or the NYC one will do too? I didn't know that it has to be set by Patek itself, very interesting. So for those who d...

for such a beautiful watch, one will be wearing it so often that it is impossible difficult to keep it off the wrist. Maybe you can ask the service watchmaker to show you how they set the leap year and you can possibly do it yourself at home. For example,...

the adjustment of 3448 should not be that difficult. The case is easily taken off and I'm sure we will be able o learn how to set it. Like what Mike said, he placed it on the winder and keep it moving. It can be a beautiful sight when one place the winder...
