Been almost 6 years since Patek Philippe unveiled its silicon escape wheel achievement and 5 years since the unveiling of the Spiromax balance spring.
Patek previously collaborated with the Swatch Group and Rolex in developing these technologies. For Rolex, it gave them the parachrom hairspring. For the Swatch Group, it gave them silicon escape wheels and hairsprings. (Its worthwhile to note that Omega's Si Hairspring doesn't Patek's patented terminal curve)
Both Rolex and the Swatch Group (Omega) now have these innovations in their mainstream watches. Beyond the Patek Advance Research limited edition watches, has Patek proliferated these innovations to their other watches?
