I got mine about 3 months ago and it is a perfect daily watch.

Didn’t know you had your eye on this, but it is a really nice one. Very practical as well.

But it had to be this way because another dial for the date would make it too cluttered and confusing to read. Next GTG, I shall bring it with me Thanks Richard!

According to my AD, Patek will only be producing the 5212A in limited numbers which in a way is a pity because this watch can attract a lot of young people to the brand. Then again, apparently Patek intends to reduce its production next year which may res... 

However, one of the goals of the 5212 was to attract people back to the Calatrava line and they are succeeding, so hopefully it will always be available in reasonable numbers ;-) Cheers.

This watch would have been attractive in any metal but making it only in steel has made it an instant classic in my opinion.

I think Patek's choice of the tan calf strap has added character to the watch and made it cool!

I have no idea if I have been allocated a 7234A because Patek South East Asia are not exactly informing the ADs who have been successful in their application. I wish I knew so I can direct the funds to other 'projects'! ...

I would be most surprised if I was allocated one because I have not bought a new Patek in Malaysia since 1995 so I am not exactly a current customer. And it will be Patek South East Asia who will be making the decision rather than the ADs.

It was love at first sight when I first saw the watch in May and that was in a restaurant with less than satisfactory lighting. Today when I saw it again, it looked so much better!

I was lucky to see one just last week, and it’s full of charm! Very happy for you, my friend, as I know you’ll enjoy it a lot.

but I think in the 5212, they decided to show off their ingenuity. The watch would have sold like hot cakes even if it was in platinum so making it in steel was a master stroke.

It will be one of my almost daily wear watches. The winding mechanism is especially smooth. It needs to be 40mm to remain legible!

I must confess that this is the first ever 40mm watch that seems to fit my wrist. I thank Patek big time for producing this watch!

Yes Patek really came through when it mattered. My dealer received only one piece this year so I am pleased and fortunate to have this beauty.

Every time I think about selling a watch, I put it on. That cures any urge to sell!

I love this piece. It is so cool and modern in a really nice and calm way. I think patek is touching upon something really original I. Thermos of style with this watch. How are you enjoying it so far?

It is always good to see Patek coming up with something fresh. This is what the watch community looks forward to and needs. For now, I have only worn the watch to have the photos taken because I can only collect the watch from the airport when I depart th...

And just realised it’s 40mm but it still fits your wrist really well! They did a nice job with the lugs though. Enjoy it ! Kev

as I was sceptical that it would fit my wrist especially as the not too dissimilar 40mm 5320 was a tad too large. The lugs as you correctly say did the trick and the busy dial also helped the wear watch smaller. It just shows how important lugs are. A 39....
