I don't think that you are 'in the minority'. PP have demonstrated with other models, too, that 'bigger is not better'. For example, the 5196 Calatrava which is so stretched and flattened out that the seconds dial is almost half way up the face.
In the not so distant past, PP movements fitted their cases but, in the rush to fashion, cases became bigger irrespective of the movements. The 5167 is the case in point. The natural balance, comfort and design of the 5165 has been compromised in fitting the 315 calibre into a larger case.
The dial of the 5167 has lost the symmetry of the 5165 and for that matter, its predecessor the 5065.
I tried both the 5165 and 5167 on my 7 1/4" inch wrist and made the correct choice.
