That the 2512 - the ancestor of the 5070 was an even bigger watch ? The 2512 , made in the 1950's was a spitsecond chronograph with a 45 mm diameter. 45 mm ! and this in 1950 !! And even bigger , a lot bigger was the Military watch they made in 1936. A st...  

But very interesting... If we speculate on PP Past, we wil maybe see something like that ... PP did it for the WT, they inpsired themselves from this Chrono for the 5070, as you said. Why not enhancing the size, and the movement? The good thing, very posi...

I shall look forward to reading what the Aviator finally goes for in auction. Very interesting about the large size watches back then.

I never knew Patek had made such interesting big watches before. I love the 5070 and hope that they'll have something interesting in the next few years with a new hand wound movement.
