Asian AD
In parts of Asia, even the AD themselves sell with a premium on "hard to find" pieces. On the same token, other PP watches are sold at a discount which from my understanding is not a common practice in places such as the US.
At the end of the day, I agree with everyone that PP has the ability to "eradicate" this practice but whether there is a genuine intent to do so, that's up to anyone's guess.
