Thanks for the great reminder, Horo. Balance is key. It seems easier to fall for the romanticism of indies where the watchmakers' heart and soul are laid out in front of you, while it requires more effort to dissect the perceived value of brands' offerings. Both are intresting in their own rights. That's been my experience anyway.

as it'd be more practical for my daily rotation. The wg has a display caseback which my pt doesn't. But I do enjoy the slight extra weight and the warmness of platinum. So that's the decision for me. Ken

Reference Indie collecting, it's all about balance. Don't think one should be pigeon holed into "just a xxxx collector". If the horological properties of a watch is good, it should be considered. I also have a biased slant to Indies, but I still buy brand...
