Generally I would trust the Patek service centre BUT
However, since you are the owner of the watch, and you are
not comfortable with it, you can instruct them to do what it takes to ensure
that the watch is what you want it to be. In this case it would entail replacing
the case as Suitbert has mentioned. That will be expensive, think four figure
cost, but given that it is already a costly watch, it will be worth it for the
joy you get when you see a perfect timepiece on your wrist.
