I am not totally convinced by the dial/ diamond combo. I have been eying it for many months but for me my DD40 with the baguette diamond markers on ice blue works better than this darker blue.

So if that is all I have to judge, then most likely YES I would prefer this 5170P to ANY 5070 series again due to proportions, size, wrist comfort, and dial details. Sorry mon ami, most of the time we agree with our watch taste and before owning this 5170...
instead of having to be continually force fed the view that the 5070 is in no doubt the better watch, it isn't! and neither is a 5970 more so than a 5270 for that matter
