I am far from a specialist but I have a opinion on .....
Quartz movements based on some experience and past readings . I understand some quartz are very well and precise build and contrary to the general believe can be fixed and maintained by a watchmaker . I prefer a mechanical movement in a luxury watch as a enthusiast; for the craftsmanship and for it's perceived soul. I can see a quartz on someone wrist and it won't make me think less of the person or the brand. There is a market for either. Best Regards Edward

PP's quartz movements are not exactly "cheap". And wasn't PP on the forefront of quartz development, when it came into fashion?
Warren Buffet used to fancy a Quartz ref 3944, so I suppose you'd be in good company.
