Why does Patek not return old dials?
Hello everybody... ...In the event of Patek changing (not restoring) a damaged dial on a watch, the company will not return the old dial they remove to its owner, this even in the case you request for your dial. I can't think of any reason why this should...
It's a policy that many brands have
and it's to avoid that spare parts come to places like eBay. Be glad that Patek is willing to change your dial. GEO

Possible solution...
Perpahs a possible solution would be to have a good watchmaker who you know and trust to remove the dial and then send out the rest of the watch out to patek for the service and new dial? This message has been edited by PatekPhilippeWanted on 2010-02-03 1...
