I am not Estonian, I just live here.
However, I know that a teacher makes here around € 900 per month before taxes and a medical doctor below € 1,500. I had a friend who worked in a hotel reception got € 2 per hour.
There is very limited social security in Estonia and thus taxes are low. The government is nearly debt-free and the whole system is hard-line capitalistic. The corporate tax is 0% and I like it a lot!
The capital of Estonia, Tallinn, is just 46 nautical miles from the capital of Finland, Helsinki. By helicopter it takes 15 minutes from city center to city center.
My net income with the same level of gross income is nearly four times higher in Estonia. That is needed if one intends to buy Pateks!
Best, Kari
