I have both
Have had the 5167a for over 2 years and have worn it more than any other watch I have during that time.
As you said its the most comfortable watch I have ever worn.
The clasp is easy to adjust yourself without any tools, so coming open should not be a concern.
its also more casual/sporty than the Nautilus.
I thought I might sell it after I got my 5711a, but after wearing it on some 90* + days I renewed my appreciation for it.
The 5711 is a GREAT watch also and if I would have gotten it 1st may not have gotten the 5167.
I actually prefer the 5711 to the 5712 I have.

If doing the same thing over and over again is a sign of madness, then I think I have a small dose of it. I already had a 5712G and then saw a 5167, tried it on and was sold. It's an incredibly comfortable watch to wear. Now I'm thinking of adding another...

i would go for the PP5167 with rubber strap. I think it is much more interesting than 5711 or 5167 with bracelet.

If you are thinking of buying the rubber strap separately, then you also need to get the deployment clasp. Please make sure you are sitting down too, Cheers !

In truth I think it's a composite strap, not just rubber. But it looked very sharp. Nice to see someone happy to break to the conventions of what you;re "expected" to wear in situations like this.
