Patek Philippe

I like the spirit of your post and even more I like ...

the cal. 12-600. It is just gorgeous in the details and (almost?!) doesn´t show any features/details driven by a business case. Just look at the details ... the "sexy" curves ... the anglage ... . Only the best, based on abilities is shown - nothing more, nothing less. It is like one of the old S-Class Mercedes - only the best was good enough. I love it therefore!

Maybe it was not "perfect" (compared to some movements today), but for sure it was and still is outstanding.

"the earliest 12-600 did not have the Gyromax regulator"

The caliber started with number 760.000 and finished with 767.099. The first one with Gyromax was the number 760.300.
It was in production from 1953 - 1960 and there have been 7100 movements in total.

The target/topic in any collection is something very personal and as long as you collect with passion you can´t be wrong. Especially I like the evolutions of collecting, because we learn a lot about the topic and us smile

Keep them coming - the pictures, the posts and the spirit. Thanks!

Oliver
