Superb ode to the 5970, my friend.

This Chrono QP from PP is certainly one impressive watch, which will be hard to beat, in terms of elegance and class.

The case, lugs and dial are to die for.

I always wondered which one I would get, if I was able to, and I would definitely go for the Platinum version ( even if I know that this is not trhe first choice here ), but this black dial is dangerously appealing, and brings a lot of character to this watch.

Another point I agree with you is what you said about the comparison between the 5070 and the 5970: They are indeed very different.

As per a curious coincidence, I prepared something about this topic.

Something tells me we won't end speaking about these Chrono QPs from PP....

I've never seen in the flesh a 5970 but, carefully examining its pictures (I've studied them meticolously to replicate the timepiece with a vector graphics software), I've noticed that the case shape isn't perfectly round: on the left it looks like a slig...
