Both are very different and must have for collection. 5296R much better for everyday use because it is automatic with date function.

The sector dialled 5296R is mroe versatile and doesn't look too out of place with casual clothes. The 5119 or non-sector 5296 are strictly formal watches. I would discount the 5296R non-sector immediately as I personally feel the case is too flat. You'd b... 

I have the sector and love it. Adds another dimension to the watch. I keep looking and admiring this piece.

One more point to consider is the strap color. I find that my 5119r looks best with a black strap to match the roman numerals on the dial, while the 5296r looks better to me on a brown strap to complement the rose gold stick markers on the dial. Ron
