Is it fair to assume that any/all of the watches without>>>
the triple stepped hand will have eventual problems? I feel sorry for the regular person who doesn't follow the forums and doesn't use the chrono function often, and the watch breaks after the warranty period. It is my opinion that PP should fix them for free even after the warranty period has expired due to what appears to be a fault in design.

Hi, Steve, it's not that simple - to my knowledge the largest part of first version 5960 work reliably. One should note that the first symptom reportedly were tiny scratches to the tips of the minute hand - and only after those were returned after repair ...

so should I send in my 5960 just to be safe or not all 5960 are problematic. I hate to see mine having any problem after the warranty. Should I play around with the chrono function as much as possible now then? What do you think? Cheers
