Is this a Patek or bits of a Patek put together?
I bought this watch some years ago and was told it was a 1945 Calatrava. Everything seems right, down to the 12-120 movement markings including the mini wheat sheaf like mark that I cannot work out (?initials/?a logo) and which appears twice; one imprinted in gold and the other in steel. My magnifying glass is not strong enough to see what these indents are. Did Patek make exhibition backs in 1945? Did they make a black faced Calatrava? I have searched the internet for hours without finding anything like this. I hope someone can shed some light on what I have bought, or been suckered into.

NO DISPLAY BACK IN 1940ies
as far as I know there have not been any display (see thru) backs in the 40ies. So this would make the watch highly suspicious to me! The black face is OK and also the 12-120 movement which is from between 1940-45 related to the serial number as far it ca...

Thanks for the response. Whoever did it has done some fine work. The back cannot have been off for very long or unprotected because the movement is in very nice shape. The window is glass and the fit perfect so it would have taken some clever engineering....
