Just my taste, not a fan
I find the dial to lack the elegance of the other versions (plat, rose, white gold moscow).
I am certainly not alone. Market speaks loud and clear. The fact is the majority of collectors simply do not like the watch and that is why supply far exceeds demand and pricing is so weak on it. I know many collectors and I do not know anyone personally in my collector friend circle who actually loves this watch.
But I guarantee you for every watch the brand makes, you will not have a hard time finding one or two or three or four people who like it, sometimes even ones who are notable collectors.
And in the end if you like it, you should get it! Just because the vast majority of people do not like it should not dissuade you from following your own heart and taste

plan to change the strap and I am checking re: getting a good dial. Somehow I like more the white dial (I have a nautilus white) because it feels more sporty and legible. Still thinking about the price/value here Christian
The description on the COO will be different, just like many items purchased new....
the warranty will be void if you alter something. I'm not sure how they can tell if you the bracelet back beforesend to service. Rgds Raymond

If i had a problem with a watch movement in warranty that they refused to correct because I had changed the strap, I would be furious. I just don't believe this is correct.
This info was from the Geneva salon...I quoted the example from 5960/1A bracelet to strap...
5960/1A does not have a strap in their catalog...Aquanaut is ok because it's an option. For other watches, from one strap to another strap, my gut says it should be ok but you can verify.

of course I know that some owners liked on a strap. Still to be the bracelet is super comfortable. If it was on a strap I wouldn't consider it at all..
Hmm, how is the subdial read?
There are 60, 30 and 12 rings, but only 2 hands in that subdial. My apologies if It's super obvious!

In fact you can look at the chrono hour hand
if it is on the first half of an hour, you will read the minute hand that shows between 0-30 minutes. If the hour is in the second half, it is the other minute scale. Best, Mark

agree ...the taste is very individual on this piece and it might not be appreciated by all..

I have the steel version with white dial and the platinum version with black dial. I wear the steel watch at least 10 x more than the platinum 5960. In the end I find it as an asset that one can wear the steel version either with strap or bracelet. White ...
I think that it is a great watch.
I have ended up wearing mine more frequently than I originally thought that I would. I personally prefer white and have had some legibility issues with Patek black dials in the past. Of course that is a matter of personal preference.
As we speak, I wear mine. The P does not get much wrist time and
depending the offerings in Basel, I will consider the new black dial 5960/1A. Best Kari

in face this is pretty significant for someone with such a great collection to wear this more than others. For me this is the main concern right now, to get something that I would wear a lot thanks Christian
I liked when you said that this could be the "only" watch..
of course is a bit of a myth but being so comfortable (and practical) it might be a good idea for a watch that will see a lot of wrist time.

I think the 5960 is an excellent complications combination
I like how infos are displayed, its wonderful case etc... The A versions are definitely very different from the previous Pt and rose gold versions. The white dial, to me, is the sportiest and has this very unique "racing look" the black dial doesn't have....

and the steel is no exception. I know there are many opinions on the bracelet, mostly from non-owners it seems. I really think this bracelet is well constructed and extremely comfortable. The only (and this is a slight only) qualm about this sporty refere...

is the water resistance that doesn't let it be that sporty! this said I still like it and I feel I would wear it a lot. Still considering given the price point for steel

It is a perfect business watch
I would leave the bracelet on, especially when travelling as you can sweat. If one's business is more desk work, than happily with a bracelet.
If there is one reference you will find unsold at every AD it's this one!

This is a seriously under-appreciated and under-rated beauty.
I went for one and have not regretted the decision. An incredible versatile, good-looking, piece from Patek.
I really like the case and the bracelet.....
but the dial is overly bestudded. No match for Zenith's colorful El primero Chronograph in my humble opinion. The movement may be superior but I do not know that. I would wait in line for the perfect love. Cheers Edward
