For those who do not know, Mstanga is legendary in the vintage watch market, especially for his research on the Patek nautilus and the amagnetic , also theAP 5402. He has produced a publication for each , which is recognised by all major international auction houses, who often use his services to assess pieces. Mstanga is the true authority on vintage pieces especially the 3700/1A. The publications are available online , worth reading.

Interesting that Mstanga mentions a 3700/1p with diamond indices. Coincidence, or was Patek trying to give collectors a modern day interpretation of this watch with the 40th anniversary 5711?
Makes sense to me. The 5711/1P was very difficult to get....
