Patek Philippe

I just realized that I didn't have any mcros of this watch, so I decided to repair this injustice. The 5712 is really a weird watch. I remember the first time I saw pics of a Nautilus, I said to my self " noway, too weird ". ...Till a few years ago, a fri...  

I've never been a big Nautilus fan, and I like this one less than the regular. Partially because there's so much happening on the dial, three subdials, all the stripes, etc. and partially because that movement COULD have been something like this Aaron...  

But I have to say that I partially agree with you, about the RDM Hand. I would have prefered without, to say all. Best, my old friend. Nicolas

... when i saw it the 1st time, i was like " Weird ugly watch for old retired well off man " When i saw it on someone wrist, my feeling towards it changed 180 degrees. Incredible, i flashed on it. Until now i cannot explain how is it possible that a watch... 

It is really fascinating, with these grey blue reflects, and these subtle touches of colors. Alive and..Kicking! Then, the proportions, very thin, but also obviously dressy and soprty in the same time, very strange. I believe that this is a watch to get u... 

a friend of mine had a 3712 but sold it 1 year ago. but the bracelet felt too fragile. too thin for me

With the recent proliferation of detailed and well taken macro shots,I'm sure this will put some pressure on manufacturers to pay more attention to quality control. Any slight defect will be there for all to see! This is a great watch to wear and admire. ...

i think this watch , if it wasn't a Patek, would never even show up as a topic on any of these forums.... I won't go as far as calling it an ugly watch, but for me it has no appeal nor beauty. Sorry but that's just my opinion. I don't want to offend anyon... 

I am sure no one is offended by your honest opinion. If you don't like it, you don't like it - end of story. However, as Nicolas and others have mentioned, this is really a watch you need to see in the flesh and spend some time with to fully appreciate. I... 

But mostly the lightness of the watch. This is imo the perfect watch.

this is indeed a very nice piece of art, you have to see it in flesh then you would love it, isnt a good piece of art can be make out of anything and in any form ? Nautilus become my very first PP, I just love it !!

I saw it in the metal a few months ago. I totally agree with the conclusion, which is this watch is a real beauty in action. Too bad to have sold it, but I’m sure the replacement(s) more than make up for it. Cheers AHo

What to say about one of my all-time favorites? To me, this is the perfect Nautilus (originally the 3712 if you wish). I love symmetry in general, but this "messy" dial simply works. The whole watch is a masterpiece in terms of design and functionality.

I like you are used to buying vintage Rolex. In that world there is one rule in the jungle. Willing buyer and willing seller. No cry babies lol. Once you see how the vintage train works you are never afraid to hop on board at anytime.

And I'm also tempted to let the 5712 go, but still resisting. The 5980 is simply gorgeous, but a bit taller and sportier. Don't get me wrong, I love it, but I prefer the thinner profile of the 5712.

The 5712 is definitely on the more elegant extreme of the sport-elegant range.
