I agree. He is using YOUR images of YOUR watch to sell a watch he may or may not have in his possession. If he was being so honest and admiring your incredible pictures, he would have disclosed that they were not of the actual watch (allegedly) for sale.
I would suggest contacting the seller (if that will do anything) and in the future creating a watermark on your pictures.
My pictures "stolen" from here and being used to sell a 5726...

2 or 3 years ago, a seller posted my JLC MMR Titanium for sale.

he is probably using your image to solicit orders
meaning he doesnt want to hold inventory, but should someone order, he can get from some source. there are alot of these back to back grey dealers, reputable ones even. best< Horo

Sorry to hear your concerns. Cheer up. Copying is a form of flattery also. That means they liked you images more than other images they saw. Maybe you should consider a business/hobby in taking watch pictures. Jim
A public domain, yes, but with certain rules...
And even more when the picture is taken for the purpose of a commercial matter, a book, a sale, etc... And I don't even speak about Education, which would, at the minimum, requires to ask to the one who took the pic the permission to use his photo... Best...
Hi Jim, have no problems at all with using my pics for non commercial..
But in this case he is "advertising" my watch. my watch is NOT for sale. It belongs to me. The pictures are therefore misleading.... if they wanted to use someone elses pics, they could have used them from the Patek website. IThanks, Imran

This is the reason Ill never post a photo of my patek anywhere on the internet. Same reason Il never post photos of my kids anywhere on the web. wlecome to the real world
