It looks like asking a question I don’t know the true answer to, unless you know the answer for sure, is frowned on with some members, I am trying to be informative and pass on what I hear. if you don’t have something positive to contribute when I post you may want to consider not anserering. I get my information from AD’s I talk with/buy from, not sure if you consider that reliable? If the information was specific and verifiable I would post that, since it is not just a rumor I ask for other to chime in, is there something wrong with that?......

The list of watches been discontinued this year came out already and 5524g was not on it .It May/probably will be discontinued in the future but no one knows when .My bet 3-4 years time. Having said that they may release other variants of it though. Iqbal...

I spoke to my AD recently about the 5524 - if they’d heard it was being discontinued I’m sure they would have mentioned it.
However, Thierry likes to surprise us, so who knows. There is a list of discontinued references floating about, but are there any guarantees this is a complete list?

Bringing out two more Pilots watches only cuts in half the total watches out there so the 5524G will not last long. And BTY how do you know orders are being moved up 6-9 months anymore than I know what is being discontinued?...Jim

To buy G and those that like R buy R. The 5205G wasn't phased out for years when the R was launched...good news is i am100% certain that the 5524G will be phased out.......eventually!

Just to back up why I ask about discontinued watches, the 5235 has not been available to at least three AD’s in the last year. That tells me it’s discontinued, at least for now...Not sure where the 5524 is going but I give it one more year max...Jim

Jonrus I can’t tell if you are talking about the 5524 or the 5235 but assuming it is the 5235, with their permission I would be glad to give my AD’s names. Let’s see if Mr. Peter can back up his statement.
