Strap for a vintage Ellipse
Dear community,
I was wondering if someone could please help me figure out where (apart from Patek Philippe) one can find, or otherwise order, a strap to fit a lugless Ellipse 3548. I'm not sure what the dimensions of the 'notch' are, for instance (2x5mm?), or whether the 18mm strap tapers down to 16mm or 14mm when on the original Ellipse-shaped buckle.
I'm assuming I would have to specify all this when ordering a strap from an aftermarket custom maker. I won't have the watch for another month or so and was hoping to order a new strap ahead of time.
Thanks!
P.S. While I'm on the subject -- what strap colours/materials would you recommend for the yellow gold and blue dial reference? I'm finding it difficult to visualize anything other than black, or at most navy blue, working well.

(The actual watch I’m looking to pair a strap with)

but when I was contemplating one I discussed the strap question briefly with the strapmaker Veblenist, and they said that they can absolutely do straps for an Ellipse (though they'd want exact dimensions of your model). You might get in touch with them, t...
