I would obviously be upset to have a major ding or scratch on any watch, but it can happen. I owned a Royal Oak for several years and a few years into ownership I got a big nick on the bezel, it was really annoying. But I wore that watch a lot and so it was inevitable. Some other watches, Rolex mostly, have much more wear / evidence of wrist time and it suits them. Those I don’t mind so much.

The ‘piano dial” really is a beauty, especially in the bright daylight.
Most of us will not have many white dials in our collections so when we do have a white dial on the wrist it always looks so fresh.
I’m with you on the CB and the white 5711.
I just need to add the latter. All in due time. It does look great on your wrist. You have great taste in watches, my friend!

If you are like me and find the CB to be perfection then there’s a good chance you will love the 5711 on the wrist. It’s just a shame we weren’t talking about this 6 or 7 years ago when having both was relatively easy.

The silvery white dial to me, is stunning. The black outlined indices gave a very bold contrast and the colour matched date window made this a very nice package. Also just noticed that Patek officially took the White 5711 off the catelog.
