Strangely, I never thought, before watching your PP, about the meaning of the name of this model (Golden Eclipse)
Now, that is clear! The moon hides the sun, like during a full eclipse, and its luminosity is just visible all around the dial symbolised by the thickness of the yellow gold case. I hope I am right ;-)
