This is an important story
Please be aware that sometimes watches are "resealed." I have had occasion where I sold a watch (after wearing it), and later the same watch showed up in a dealer's inventory "factory sealed." Easy to confirm that it was the same watch by serial number. I did not personally inspect the new plastic sleeve, but I have to think there are ways to detect which has been resealed.
Anyway, it is silly to leave a Patek sealed. You have to feel bad for those who feel this is necessary. And probably good that now Patek insists that dealers cut the sleeve before the watch leaves the store.
