Travel time in a “Calatrava” case
I find this one a very unusual but yet beautifully designed piece.
This ref. 5134P was actually the second Patek I purchased for my collection and the only “Travel time” watch available at that time.
The Platinum one is the only to have a very modern and minimalistic dial in comparison with the other 3 versions.
This watch had a very high suggested retail price and regardless of its rarity has not been much appreciated by collectors yet

As you noticed I went with a dark brown matte band... How about yours, have you moved from the original (a bit too serious IMO) black one?
Patek has been very good to me.
I have, for each and every watch, at least 5 different bespoke straps made to my measurements. If I remember correctly, my 5134P wears at the moment a blue strap with grey stitching. Best, Kari

We’re talking about two different watches... One a travel time and the other a world time, same purpose but a total different complication. I agree with you the 5110 is a beautiful watch... But it would be like comparing a sport coupe car with a luxurious...

Yes a good size considering the case shape. Comfortable to wear and the platinum gives it the right satisfying weight. Best

The design of this travel time, especially the outer ring (covered in a light gray color) on the dial, reminds me of the 5205. It is a stylish and functional watch. Enjoy it often ! Cheers, Gordon
