Patek Philippe

Since its unveil in 2006, I must admit that I turned around this reference. I was very happy to see Patek releasing an inhouse automatic chronograph, and mesmerized by this sublime ruthenium dial which is, in my opinion, the nicest dial of all the 5960 ev...

My point is that in the Patek World the Annual Calendar is always a "less sophisticated" movement and made quite thick. And if I go for a PP, then I want to get a watch showing the Patek DNA that means for me a slim movement taking into account the compli... 

especially by its aesthetical characteristics (pushers, mono compteur dial, bezel...). I'm not a real fan of this watch but I recognize all its objective qualities and its originality. I changed my mind a bit with the black dialed PT and the last white sp...

I didn't think about that but it would clearly be an excellent choice. The Racing theme would perfectly match the watch layout.

... The "bull eye" is such a strong design signature. The pushers "tv antenna" style gives it another strong touch... The complication is supposed to be friendly and accessible to most of use. Perpetual calendars are not. IMO annual calendar is the right ... 

I still don't get why we cannot change the bracelet for a strap, on the steel version... If that was possible, then I may have a second thought. Anyway, the platinum and its superb ruthenium dial drives me crazy. Best, Nicolas

the 2 other cut-outs were placed more symmetrical between and hour markers, plus add a small metal frame like the center one. They do that for 5207 and 5208, why reserved to that? My AD had tempted me with this one, in black, stunning, but I like to wait ...

Thanks for sharing thoughts on this one, my favorite daily PP. I often get a sense that this is the PP that PP enthusiasts shun. Perhaps the production run was a tad long and too many floating around in the secondary market. Whichever the case may be, I t...

The black dial 5960 with inverted date wheels are so gorgeously executed in both platinum and rose gold. But to me those carry dramatically different characteristics to the original gray dial version. To me it is very hard to draw comparisons and choose b...

This one has haunted me since its release and for me the rhuthenium dial is the most attractive combination. I've come close a few times and may bite yet. Kindest regards even if your photos are torture :)
