You don't understand:
I believe you of course, no reason not to and appreciate your input.
That is not what I was saying: I was just saying that this "prototype" wording choice was not the most adequate for this watch.
This term was used to describe and non-standard edition in opposition to the regular production 3700.
But that is really a detail considering the aim of the post in this case.
In the end, that prototype wording is really not important and the principle interest of my post was to admire a watch I wished to share with the community.

A dream indeed!

I have said here before that I dream of a thin two-hand anniversary Nautilus with a special movement and a date wheel that matches the dial. But the Nautilus keeps speaking to me. Sat next to a chap at a conference earlier this week who was wearing a 5712...
I agree with you Mark.

Beware of a 3800...

My sad experience with this version was no the best. This model Nautilus with movement #335-SC was not Patek's finest moment. This "Split-Stem" movement was one of only a few of Patek's own that did not have the Geneve Seal. There's a reason why not ;-(

Thanks for the precisions, the only source I have is the auction where it was presented. However, what you say makes me think it is strange to say the case is prototype as it seems to be the part of the watch (with the movment) that remains the same from ...
My pleasure!

It is always a pleasure to share some interesting watches and which we feel are pretty. Yes, the white dial is interesting, even if very different from the current 5711, 5726 and 5980 with the white dial (and blackened hands which are a big difference) Ch...
