A follow up thread of my recent visit to Mongolia this time showcasing images shot on the Leica Q. The Q to me is a perfect walkabout shooting camera. One thing I really like about the Q is the way it paints colors which has that contrasty bite that gives...  

A question for you. Have these images been processed in any way? I ask as I also own a Q, and I'm sometimes believing that I'm not getting the most out of the camera. It's possible that I'm just not utilizing the manual adjustments to the fullest.

One of the things is that on my Leica Q, I have a circular polariser filter almost permanently mounted on. What the polariser filter does is to give more vibrant and punch to the images for example, deepening the blue skies for more dramatic feel as well ...

Ansel was one of my earliest photographers which I draw alot of inspiration and lead me down the path of viewing composition. His books the Negative and the Print were my bedside bibles. Here are some more ...

Some beautiful photographs!

The Leica Q (24MP full-frame, fixed 28mm F1.7 ASPH) seems to be a fine 'walkabout' camera and from what you have shown, the results can be cropped to extreme. I find that the same to be true of the Fuji X Series where the [color] rendering is somewhat dif... 

I will probably like to visit it during different seasons just to see how the landscapes changes and spend more time living among the locals

Mostly the light, I’m sure, but the Leica glass doesn’t hurt. Great shots also. The first one but also the boy with all the animals.

The Q with the 28mm works well in this environment with fast focusing as a bonus. Great landscapes and ideal for group shots like the ones in the Ger. Thanks for sharing. Keep them coming! fernando

I had 4 batteries with me and two power banks which help me charged up the batteries during my trip

You really master your gears. Do you find sometimes Q give you reddish on skin tone as I do notice some friends shots (I don't own one) Cheers,

So far I am ok with my Q for skin tones.

I'm primarily a black and white film shooter (Leica M-A, M4) but have been thinking about adding a Q as well. Hoping that Leica does a 35mm version at some point as I'm not sure I could live exclusively with a 28.

The resolution from the Q is so good that I do extreme crops all the time without worries. If you have a 35mm you cannot go wide but with 28mm I can always crop down. Take a look at my 3rd image. It is a 100% crop from the second image.

But I guess I'm old school and prefer to frame my pictures in-camera rather than during PP. That said, the Q is a beautiful camera and pretty hard to resist. Also keeping my eye on the Zeiss ZX1 to see what it's priced at when it launches and then I'll de...
