Good idea
Hi Casey,
Thanks a lot for the idea of a photo forum, I guess there will be a lot of interesting topics in here. I have a Leica IIIf with only one lens, the 50 mm 3.5. I have had other Leicas: M6, M7, M6TTL, and one R8, by now the only Leica M I have is a MP Hammertone, I use only b&w film (asa 400 or 3200). For the MP I have a 35mm F/2.0 summicron Asph, a 24mm f/2.8 elmarit asph, a 50mm f/2.0 summicron, and a 50mm noctilux (the f/1.0 canada versión). The noctilux is the lens I use more, not so easy to master. The problem I have now is that I don't have any digital equipment so I cannot post any pictures, but I think I will get some negatives scanned in the future.

Practice, practice, practice
and once you have a feel for what you like, look thru some other photographers work. It's really an extension of your expression, like a writing style or personal fashion sense. Have fun... Taking a workshop can be useful and a good way to meet other loca...
Trying is one think, achieving is another thing.

so true... but tips come to those who look. Sometimes it's just a matter of taking a weekend workshop to tap into something new. AND you are correct that it's a challenge to create in a vacuum. But everyone can move and change... None of my non-photo frie...
