Works perfectly on my Nikon D3 and tops the 60mm Macro Nikkor AF in every respect. By the way: The Neopan produces a really nice and very fine grain structure. Great for portraits.
Specifically some test photos using the NIKON Ai Micro-Nikkor 105mm F2.8 S. Test shot with the lens alone, with the lens plus the PN-11 auto extension ring, and finally some walking around images using the lens alone... all images using Fujifilm Neopan 10...

I like Neopan 100 with certain of my lenses and definitely for night shoots... I often read comments such as Neopan is flat with lifeless midtones and a lack of micro contrast in the mid tones. It almost sounds like the commenter knows what they're talkin...
I had battled with the idea of Tokina, Sigma or Tamron but I preferred the 105, thankfully the photos on different sites really showed the dominance of this lens.
and am very happy with that kit for digital macro... but one can't argue with a lens that has a run of over 35 years, Nikon did something correct. I am kind of surprised it's not on featured on "Thousand and One Nights"...
