Here we go on a lovely December morning. I drop her off at the Garden Club Christmas Market and head down to the cove.

Past all these houses with that wide expanse view of the city and harbor.

OK, now over the water (on that dock you see at the bottom of the previous photo)

Walking the bayside trail is generally A Good Thing except there are so many people who insist on talking on their phones (loudly) while walking their dogs -- I could hear a guy 100 yards away, moaning about some problem in his life.

Ducks were bathing to my left (they are loud too, which distracts me from Mobile Phone Man)

To my right a squad of hummingbirds were attacking this flowering tree. Caught in mid-air!

A black and yellow bumblebee was on the flowers next to the tree.

The hummer followed me along the trail, as they often do. I'm not sure if they like me or are just making sure I keep moving along. Either way, I love it. More chances for close photos.

I stopped to see the light coming through the Bird of Paradise blooms. And took a Camera Zoom glance at the Big Bird Tree you see in the background.

Yes! There are big birds in there today. At least 3 by my count.

I shift my focus (retract the zoom) and look at more flowers and houses.

Macro shot!

The hummer scowls and chirps "Move along!"

At that point my view is drawn to the water, where a Pelican is doing aerial maneuvers through masts and rigging, while searching for fish below the surface.
I reached a trail junction, checked my watch, and headed away from the bay to the street.

There are always interesting details to notice on my walks...

and today I was able to see a few interesting vehicles.

A very nice Corvair Convertible! This is about 60 years old.

A few wonderful houses though I suspect I wouldn't be able to afford the utilities, much less the mortgage and taxes.

And I certainly don't have the nerves to hang the Christmas lights on the eaves of this house!

This guy certainly has the guts to drive a monster of a car. I think it says V12 on the side?

I headed back down the hill towards the bay, driving along a road we have walked and shown you before.

Have a great day and thanks for coming along with me.
