As PuristS, we should appreciate all the skills
...and techniques to produce haute horlogerie. There has been too much distraction from the jewelry that is a new product line at Piaget.
Over the centuries, the best watches from the best makers always had special decoration as well as the movement quality. We see pocket watch pieces by Berthoud or A.L.Breguet with the best engraving, grand feu enamel, dials and gem setting but we did not call them jewelers. Yes; they added jewelry techniques to their watchmaking skills but Messrs Berthoud and Breguet were still watchmakers, first.
Those master watchmakers used the best, precise and accurate movements available in their time. Today, Piaget is doing the same.
