Dear Art,
Thank you for your candid feedback and for expressing your concern. I completely understand why you might feel skeptical when someone mentions commerce in a first post, and I appreciate the vigilance you maintain on the WatchProSite forum.
I want to state unequivocally: I am not a scammer.
I am located in Madrid, Spain.
The reason for my post is simply to seek knowledge and connect with experts like those in this community. My interest in watches is quite new and stems from a difficult circumstance: inheriting my late father’s collection. My father was indeed a watch lover, but he approached his purchases based on his personal preference for certain brands and designs, rather than collecting with a deep, technical focus.
Now that these pieces are in my possession, I am trying to build a complete picture of what I have. My primary goal is to gather comprehensive information—history, reference numbers, potential value, and what makes each piece special.
My current collection includes:
An Omega with a square case and a gold bracelet.
A Vacheron Constantin ultra-thin model with a gold bracelet.
A Piaget also featuring a gold bracelet.
The Piaget 12427 mentioned in the original images.
a Longines and a Universal Genève
While it is true that I might eventually sell one or two pieces to manage the collection, that is a secondary consideration. My current focus is purely on research and appreciation. I am looking for guidance from established collectors.
I hope this clarifies my intentions and puts your concerns at ease. I look forward to contributing to and learning from the WatchProSite community.
Thank you for your time.
Best regards,
Mariano
If anyone can provide me with information and let me know if these "jewel watches" (or dress watches) are of interest to collectors, I would be very grateful.
