Piaget

This is truly incredible technique.

The only way this level of skill as a company could be had is with a massive grading and sizing capability for diamonds
and precious stones somewhere in the world. To actually engineer parts to dimensions AROUND stone sizes is like reverse
engineering your own item- it must be exceedingly challenging work!

I have been feeling more and more impressed lately by this manufacture. It seems they are capable of things no one else is.
The level of skill to gem set movements must be incredible. I am a watchmaker, and I work with components thicker than Piaget
stuff daily. To think that there are people capable of gem setting such parts that are even thinner than what I normally see is
nothing short of breathtaking. Only another watchmaker would ever understand precisely how difficult it must be to do that
kind of work, I feel.

As is often the case, though, of course I will never be of means to afford such marvels. Diamond covered movements, I could
work for 20 years without eating or spending one cent, and still never afford any of this, which must run in millions of dollars.
A great lament. If only more art like this were affordable for normal people, such a shame.
