[Novelty] Richard Mille RM026-02 "Evil Eye" Tourbillon
Richard Mille has unveiled during Watches and Wonders another "mystical" themed Tourbillon model (after the RM069 Erotic Tourbillon): the RM026-02 "Evil Eye" produced in a 25 pieces limited edition.
The small case in 48.15 x 40.1 mm (like the RM010, RM035...) has a TZP Ceramic bezel and caseback while the caseband is in rose gold.
There is also a power reserve indicator (50 hours) between 10 and 11 o'clock (I couldn't find it :p).
The decorative "flames" work are made of hand-carved rose gold (3N which is softer than the one used for the cases).
The eye is enameled with 800°-900° cooking after different oxides are used to "paint" it. The flames are lacquered (several layers in order to give this spectacular result).
The decoration might not be everyone's cup of tea (none of the Richard Mille's watches are made to be so) but the painting and cooking work of both the eye and the flames must be impressive when seen in the metal.
