Without knowing the backstory, and in the absence of more widely expressed quality concerns, this wouldn't deter me.
Yes, it could have been a defective screw or poor assembly.
Maybe some Loctite wasn't applied in error (do they use Loctite?).
Maybe this was right after initiating disassembly. Unlikely, but not impossible.
Seems like RM owners are generally well-satisfied with the quality.

Have no clue as don't know about the watch history...
Seen plenty of expensive brands abused by owners that have issues, or maybe went in for service and was not tightened. Who knows. Not a big deal. RM put in a screw and off you go.
