I suppose this is why people still buy direct from boutiques.

I do feel you've treated RM a little unfairly in this matter though. I'm sure you had good reason to not buy direct from the boutique, but by doing so you're fully liable in making sure all the papers are in order.

The fact that the seller stopped responding is indeed alarming and points to a possibility that this watch might not have been as 'brand new' as advertised, and not necessarily indicative of quality control issues with their watches.

You having bought the watch for just a short while doesn't mean this watch is fresh out of the boutique for the same amount of time.

I am very glad to hear that RM has stepped up to honor the warranty but i personally feel they're not obligated to do so.

If i were in your shoes, i'd feel unhappy too, but my unhappiness will be towards the particular seller and buying it from unofficial channels instead of directing my unhappiness to RM.
