I’d stay away from using words such as “affordable”
To a very large percentage of the population of the world, spending circa $100K on a watch is most definitely unaffordable. Comes across as a little “let them eat cake’ish”. However, I know what you meant and relative to other RMs, it’s most definitely lower priced. The RM 028 is a piece I’ve always found very attractive, even more the RM 032, and I share your quizzical thought as to why they aren’t more desired or respected. My only guess is many people associate RM with their classic tonneau shape and anything other than that immediately plays second fiddle.

I respect RM for many things…exclusivity, style, gadgets but…
As a diving tool watch it is not impressive…..relative to its price. My Omega PO Chrono lists for $8500.00 has a chronograph, ceramic bezel and out performs the RM 028 in every area I believe except weight. You would at least expect the RM to have better ...
For me it does not. And it is good like that. Different people different criteria.
Btw I own a Nivada Grenchen Chrono Reedition. Was around 1.700 EUR incl. taxes and I love it.

Yeah, RM never did…
I guess it’s based on the principle that “if I have to ask then I probably can’t afford it” 😳🤣 Just kidding, in part. But AP does have their prices posted on their website, at least here in the US.

not what you would expect from the RM design team, especially for the price. It honestly reminds me of a Luminox and it is quite “Affordable” but definitely not inspirational or high end. I bet RM could come up with something better and way cooler for div...
