..what I mean, the RM004 on the standard strap, it just looks too skinny for the watch, especially where it meets the body, compare this pic to the side one I posted above, totally changes the look of the watch on the wrist.

In fact I really do struggle to see quite where the standard straps come from, they really just dont seem in keeping with the RM ethos at all, almost 'afterthoughtish' ( if thats a word! ) and a bit tatty...especially when you compare this fitment to the RM28, and how the strap on that watch just blends/moulds in & becomes one enhancing the whole look of the watch.

 




Im sure a leather strap could be padded/sculputered /made to follow the curves etc in the same way the rubber one does, which would look great imho...Yes Im sure it would cost a few $$, but then I dont really think with RM cost is an issue as such

I am always amazed to see how the strap changes the look of any RM watch: the rubber strap for the ultimate "sporty" look; a croc strap and the watch looks very "classy". I do alternate the sporty/classy straps on mine and I am discovering a new watch eve...

I have the brown croc strap also for the 004, and totally agree it looks very good on that also from front on. I just think that where the strap joins the case could do with 'padding' out a little so that the straps follow the lines of the case as they do...

if you search in the forum youll find many RM10 pics with the rubber strap actualy check some of my posts youll find mine strapped to one

By the way, I'm also wondering whether the rubber strap works with a deployant. I have a deployant on my RM010. I can't tell from the photos whether you have a deployant or a buckle. Eric von Schonberg

...my 10 is on a deployment, infact the 004 was as well but bought a tang for it as I find the tang buckles more secure, and the 004 is white gold so quite heavy, much prefer having the tang buckle justs feels more secure to me Rubber is now available for...
