Thought of doing the same thing, only way to work it perfectly.
Combining the 2 sizes together. Small size is too tight, large size is way too long. Downsize - you have to buy 2 sets of straps.
Right now I am using the small size strap and using the last possible hole and strap is really tight on the wrist. I kind of like when the watch is little bit loose.

RM 10 Rubber Strap
Guys, I just bought a Rubber Strap (new one with the notches). The dealer shipped me a Large size. My wrist is too small. I was wondering if there is someone that may want to swap the large size strap with a medium or small? Thanks Shashi Reddy

i had the same problem but managed to solve it
by ,and i know its not practical, getting the two sizes and mixing them to give a perfect size ( the strap part at 12 is the short and at 6 is the long) and now it realy fitts perfectly

I had a Short and Regular length strap on my RM11
it fit much better on my wrist that way than just having both straps Regular length. - AT
