To carry on a theme from Kari, what is your everyday Rolex? I think Bill and I both err towards the Sea-Dweller 16660, a watch that spans between vintage and modern. Tough, reliable and every inch a Rolex. I am guessing that much depends join whether one ...  

between a tritium 16600 and a white dial 116400 because after one week of ownership, a brand new Tudor 25500's crown broke cleanly off the stem during a date change.

But you should know what it looks like when the crown comes off the stem when you attempt to put the crown at the time setting position

Now, as for my everyday Rolex... Well, most of them I can wear on an everyday basis. I spent 15 days ( !!!) with the 6542! Best, Nicolas

I wear that watch every day and everywhere. Surfing, swimming, the office, dinner, mass, etc. You name it, it is on my wrist. No better Rolex, IMHO. -Mike

... about our appreciation of true vintage and other watches which are in the edge of being so considered. Patina is more evident in vintage watches with no circled indexes of course, so it is worth to appreciate a circled one like this when such a patina... 

... WG circled indexes in my Rolex, but this one I was hooked by the patina in these indexes and the general confition (almost unworn) of this watch. Incidentally, I bought it together with a "cousin" made in same year of 1986 which I feel you´ll like too...

The pun here is in mundane: which is profane in English but the nearly same sounding and looking German word "mondän" means glamorous. It depends on when and where you wear a Sub LV to call it mundane, I suppose. Regarding the Sea Dweller: the old one was... 

16710. IMO, it is versatile. Does not look out of place with a suit and easily blend with a pair of jeans. Cheers, SF ...
