I love it!
I really like the tapered lugs on the Sea Dweller 4000. It changed the whole appearance of the watch. The watch does not have that boxy look that many of the modern Rolex sport watches have.

I used to have the current version of SD4000, ref. 116600.

I have a skinny wrist too.....but have no issues with the 16660....

My wrist is only 6.3 inches, and is kind of disproportionately thinner on one side.
I guess this is what makes fitting a problem in some cases.
Well, you already own the 1665 and the 16660.
So why not adding a modern iteration of the Seadweller? I would go for the monster, the James Cameron Deep Sea Dweller Blue and Green. This one pushes the limits of the concept farther, deeper, if I may say. The one you are considering is a wiser version....
I have a limit on size..40mm is a maximum and wearability is key.
I am seriously tempted on the SD4000. The trouble is....so many projects.
what do you guys know about the SD and 2017?
The 3235 is a great movement and it'll be in my next Rolex
1967 was the issue year of the very first Sea-Dweller 1665.......one can assume
....that Rolex will mark the 50th anniversary with some recognition of one of its most iconic watches. Maybe a Sea-Dweller with double line of red...... that would be quite something
Enjoying my 116600 for a year now...

I've had mine now for 6 months and it has not come off my wrist. Very sticky watch for me. I really enjoy the weight and bulk-factor, my 6.5 wrist is thin and it wears very very well. It also wears very well on a leather strap.
difficult choice
The NSD is a very beautiful watch , with its full graduated bezel. An underrated modern rolex. The vintages have 'more' soul, more charm. It its another kettle of fish
