It has been a while since I posted a new addition…
And here it is! The freshly acquired Rolex Skydweller in two tone and with silver/white dial (depending on the light hitting the dial).
Although it seems that certain Rolex models are showing up at AD’s to be purchased without a waiting period, I did have to wait for this one. I know it is not a really popular configuration, but I like the fact that it looks like a classic Datejust (beefed up) but it has more functions than a Datejust. Now after more than 35 years of buying watches I notice I am coming back to the models I liked at first. The classics but with a modern twist. The biggest difference is that I now allow myself to buy a watch that also has some gold in it😬

Just of out curiosity did your AD offer you black dial to choose from? You pick this over the black? I ask because i always thought the white is rather flat n boring until I see your photo. White looks really cold n match the two tone theme perfectly.
Yes, I was offered the one with the black dial as well, but
I prefer black dials on sports watches and white (or light) dials on dress watches. Hence I choose the white dial configuration and it works really well.
